Ughelli Rovers Football Club is thrilled to announce that two of our standout players, captain and goalkeeper Efe Bartholomew and star striker Udori Great, have earned well-deserved call-ups to represent Team Delta at the 22nd National Sports Festival, themed “Gateway Games,” currently underway in Abeokuta, Ogun State from May 16-30, 2025.
The selection of Efe, our shot-stopper from Olomu, and Udori, our prolific forward, highlights their exceptional talent and dedication. Their pivotal roles in guiding Ughelli Rovers to a historic second-place finish in the New Year Mega Lottery Nigeria Nationwide League (NLO) Division One 2025 Season at the Asaba Centre 1, held at Stephen Keshi Stadium, earned them this prestigious opportunity.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for the club, which finished sixth in its debut NLO 2024 campaign.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Ekete Nyerovwo, Efe’s brilliance between the posts and Udori’s goal-scoring flair have been instrumental in elevating Ughelli Rovers’ status in Delta State football. Their contributions have strengthened the team and also showcased the immense potential within our Ughelli.

As defending champions, Team Delta aims to retain their title at the National Sports Festival, a platform that brings together over 15,000 athletes from across Nigeria to compete in 32 sports.
Efe and Udori are poised to play key roles in the football event, representing the state’s proud legacy of excellence.
