Ughelli Rovers FC continued their impressive run in the Asaba Super Cup with a dominant 2-1 away win over Ndame Football Academy, thanks to a clinical early brace from Stanley.
The visitors wasted no time asserting control, with Stanley opening the scoring in just the 4th minute following a swift team move and a cool finish inside the box. Barely settled, the same player doubled the lead in the 20th minute, slotting home his second of the game after a precise through ball split the Ndame defense wide open. The two quickfire goals left the home side stunned and gave Ughelli Rovers a platform they never looked like relinquishing.
Ndame Football Academy showed spirit in the second half and managed to pull one goal back late on, but it was merely a consolation as Ughelli Rovers defended resolutely to secure back-to-back victories and strengthen their position in the competition.
