Infinity FC started brightly, but Ughelli Rovers grew into the game, showing resilience and fighting spirit. The breakthrough for Rovers came in the 59th minute, when Samson calmly slotted home to give the hosts momentum and seven minutes later, in the 66th minute, Samson doubled the tally from the penalty spot, and as the match approached full time, Infinity FC thought they had secured the win, but the drama was far from over. Deep into stoppage time, in the 90+8 minute, Ughelli Rovers were awarded another penalty. Samson stepped up once again and delivered with precision, completing his hat-trick and sealing a well-deserved point for the home team.
